Description:
This project was the installation of approximately 900 LF of slurry wall to close a gap in the existing slurry walls on the north bank of the American River.
The work required degrading the existing levee to allow for clearance from overhead power lines, installation of a slurry wall 36” wide and 70’ in depth, and reconstruction of the levee with fine clay material.
The work also included removal of unsuitable soil and import of impervious soil. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic control was provided on the job site.
