Client: US Army Corps of Engineers
Location: Castle Rock, Washington
Highlights: February 2009 - December 2009, Cutoff Wall Construction
Description:
This project involved levee degradation and construction of 65,000 SF of slag-cement-bentonite cutoff wall to a depth of 40’.
The wall was constructed with a maximum permeability of 1x10-6 cm/sec and unconfined compressive strength of 30-300 psi to prevent seepage through the levee.
The work also included levee embankment reconstruction with installation of riprap on the river side face.
