Description:

The Phase I emergency repair of 14 sites along the Sacramento River and Steamboat Slough required marine based delivery and placement of 295,000 tons of quarry stone below the Summer MLLW elevation. The 14 sites included Sacramento River Miles 16.9L, 33.0R, 3.3R, 43.7R, 44.7R, 47.0L, 48.2R, 62.5R, 68.9L, and 78.0L and Steamboat Slough River miles 19.0R, 19.4R, and 22.7R.

Phase I was implemented during the winter months and required three crane barges and two derrick barges to complete the project within the 80 days given for construction.
